Cox Communications Connect2Compete Program Brings Technology Center To Montandon Clubhouse
Cox Communication is taking a proactive approach to narrowing the digital divide in Southern Nevada by promoting Connect2Compete (C2C) and recently launched its newest Cox Technology Center at the Montandon Boys & Girls Club in North Las Vegas.
C2C is helping to close the technological achievement gap for may disadvantaged youth by providing access to the same technology opportunities afforded many of their peers. The Cox Technology Center at the Montandon Clubhouse consists of ten HP computers and technology integration services, which comes at a crucial time as Club members ages 5 to 18, are able to utilize the center for homework, research and other projects.
Nationally, nearly 25,000 families are now connected to the internet through the company’s C2C program. Cox has actively promoted the C2C program in partnership with dozens of community organizations, agencies and community leaders to help spread the word about the program.
