On Wednesday, June 12, Planet Fitness, known for its Judgement Free Zone® and non-intimidating environment, extended its judgment-free philosophy with an unveiling of the first mini Planet Fitness gym housed within one of the 13 Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV).

The new facility at the Andre Agassi Clubhouse will not only provide a place for kids and teens to work out, it will also be incorporated into the BGCSNV high-quality programming promoting healthy lifestyles, and most importantly, doing so without being judged or bullied.

During the event, Adam Davidson, chief operations officer for Planet Fitness Southern Nevada, surprised BGCSNV member and recent high school graduate, Sayuri Hernandez with a $5,000 college scholarship.  Only 30 scholarships were awarded nationwide to deserving teens who model the judgment-free, pro-kindness and anti-bullying values for which Planet Fitness and Boys & Girls Clubs collectively stand.

This unveiling is part of the Planet Fitness national philanthropic initiative, The Judgement Free Generation™, which launched three years ago with a $1.3M commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Stomp Out Bullying to fund pro-kindness and anti-bullying programs nationwide. The movement is designed to combat the judgement and bullying faced by teens and empower a generation of teens to choose kindness and accept and respect one another.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada provides a safe and positive environment for kids to learn, have fun and develop supportive relationships.
