For the tenth consecutive year, former LPGA superstar, Natalie Gulbis hosted the annual Natalie Gulbis Golf Classic with proceeds benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV).  Held on Monday, June 17, the golf tournament took place at the prestigious PGA golf course, TPC Summerlin.

Joining Gulbis on the course were 128 golf enthusiasts, as well as tournament sponsors, donors and kids from various Clubhouses including her namesake Club. The event featured a variety of fun and challenging games at several holes including “Roll The Dice”, “Beat The Pro”, “Hole of Fortune”, “Longest Drive and “Hole In One” sponsored by Lexus.

As the players wrapped up 18 holes, a down-home barbeque prepared by the culinary team at TPC Summerlin awaited.  Andy Bischel, president/CEO, emceed the reception and honored the tournament winners with a variety of prizes including Taylor Made golf items, Adidas gear and etched wine bottle trophies.  While raffle items included jewelry from Tiffany & Company, PGA Tour SuperStore and Athleta gift cards, and the grand prize, guest passes to Oakland Raiders Training Camp in Napa Valley, Cal.

Sponsors for this year’s tournament included Lexus, Capital One, Owning/Cash Call, Southwest Gas Corporation, Butch Harmon School of Golf, ForeverLawn, Springel & Fink LLP, PENTA Building Group, American West Homes, Kalb Industries, Emerald Island Casino, IGT, Goldman Sachs, Konica Minolta, The Neck & Back Clinics, JS Pest Control, Common Thread Collective, Flooring Solutions of Nevada, Athleta, Stone Brewing Company and PGA Tour SuperStore.

Serving as a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, Gulbis has been a longtime advocate of BGCSNV and for youth in our community.  In 2013, BGCSNV recognized her continued generosity and named a Club in honor of Natalie Gulbis.  Funds raised at this tournament will help keep nationally accredited programs at 13 Clubs throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada provides a safe and positive environment for kids to learn, have fun and develop supportive relationships.
