We had the honor of hosting Governor Sisolak and Mrs. Sisolak at our Downtown Club prior to their journey onto their new home in Carson City. Teen member, Jose, proudly toured the first couple around the Clubhouse and even took on the governor for a little one-on-one in foosball.
Our members had the opportunity to give their advice to the couple about moving to a new place and making new friends. They also had the chance to ask the governor any question – topics included school safety, creating jobs, supplies for the classrooms and the economy.
Before their departure, the first couple of Nevada treated the kids to a variety of snacks and thanked the Boy & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada staff for their hard work and dedication.
Thank you Governor Sisolak for making us a stop on your #NVRoadTrip. We look forward to your return...and a rematch in foosball.
